From my experienced it could be using some kind of software/robot to spam to blog. To prevent this you can use image verification or other spam protection plug-in. If you use wordpress 2.0.2 upgrade it to newest version. do you install wordpress using fantastico? it easy to upgrade it. If it is not blog spam, so what is it?

We're still on 2.0.2 and using Spam Karma 2 here, not Akismet. Honestly, I'm on 2.1 with Akismet over at <a href="http://www.LinkedIntelligence.com" rel="nofollow">Linked Intelligence</a>, and just as much spam gets through there. In fact, I was getting pounded with it at first until I uploaded the good old filtered words list. Yeah — they get through. We’re still on 2.0.2 and using Spam Karma 2 here, not Akismet.
