If this were true, no one would study language - we'd just study facial expressions and the like. Anyway, I agree 100% that face to face meetings are not always necessary. In just last 10 years I have observed that we are more receptive to conference calls and video conferences as opposed to sitting down face-to-face. With webinars, there is less incentive to attend trade shows. I agree that there is nothing like meeting someone but I no longer feel that it should happen every time and that I can not get produce results if I do not meet someone in person.
